Sensis Corporation Air Traffic Systems (ATS) has an opening for a Manager of International Business Development. This position will focus on the international marketplace and will be associated with the Asia/Pacific region. It will be expected this individual will reside in the Asia/Pacific region, ideally in Canberra, Australia or Hong Kong. Sensis is active in the U.S. Domestic and International Air traffic control (ATC) equipment and systems market. The current technology and product offerings are targeted at the airport surface safety, airport surface surveillance, wide area surveillance and surveillance data fusion and operational decision-making markets. This position reports to the Director, ATS Business Development. Europe
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assessing business prospects
- Managing customer interaction
- Establishing market forecasts and predictions, writing, editing and reviewing proposals, ROMs and technical marketing material
- Creating and executing capture strategies
- Assessing the competitive landscape
- Understanding customer budgets and procurement processes, establishing pricing strategies
- Leading and directing all BD activities; including international personnel and regional sales planning and activity. Constantly communicating with the Director of ATS Business Development.
- Hands-on interaction with products in the field (support to Program Management)
- Assessment of market trends and product development needs (support to Product management)
Qualifications:
Experience:
- The candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline with an advanced degree considered a plus.
- The candidate will have formal business/marketing education with five (5) or more years of experience selling complex systems to customers in a competitive tender/proposal environment.
- The ideal candidate will have ten (10) or more years of experience in the ATC Industry as a systems/equipment supplier or air navigation services provider.
- The ideal candidate will be familiar with ATC CNS/ATM particularly surveillance and will have had exposure to ATC and airline operations in the airport, terminal and en-route environments.
- The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with industry organizations and associations such as: ICAO, EUROCONTROL, EUROCAE, CANSO, RTCA, IFATCA, IATA, NATCA, ATCA and the various air navigation service providers and support organizations around the world.
- Experience selling ATC systems is a plus.
